I cannot say enough good things about Dr Rupert. In the past 6 years I've seen 8 different specialists in this region in search of answers for my pain. Then I met Dr Rupert 14 months ago and he has been the answer to my prayers. Am I "cured" now? No, but I finally have answers and am making slow but steady gains... and am so thankful for that - Rome wasn't built in a day. Being a nurse myself, I admit I am very critical and generally untrusting of doctors, but Dr. Rupert has earned my respect and complete trust; and I don't say that lightly. He is highly knowledgeable and skilled, but more importantly is genuinely compassionate, humble, and has a drive to find answers and real solutions for his patients (not just Band-aids). His office is always very busy, which I view as a good sign that he is also helping many others. Lastly, he takes whatever time is needed during appointments, and has never made me feel rushed or to have a stupid question. Honestly THE BEST doctor for his specialty in this tri-state area.
Now I see another doctor who gave me MANY solutions for my chronic neck pain, been 6 years with permanent disability... but now, finally, have hope.
This Dr truly cares about his patients, a rare find these days.
I was told nothing was wrong with my back. Less than 1 month later I required 2 major surgeries in the L5/S1 area. I was shocked to find out how severe my back was indeed hurt to the extent in which it was. The entire operation seemed more concerned with money rather than truly caring for the patient. Would not recommend to anyone I care about.
This is what he says in his website: Often patients can become frustrated by the medical system. We seek to eliminate that frustration by giving personalized attention and by communicating complex medical issues in language and ways that are more easily understood, while we work to achieve our goal to reduce pain and restore function.
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Pat is always friendly and is always concerned with my all around well being.
This is what he said to me: You will be miserable and live in chronic pain. Was I frustrated? After doing 2 blocks and they were not successful... then he did an MRI... When I asked a nurse what happens if the blocks don't work ... she said , then we burn the nerves... BUT he said I was not a candidate??? I asked for "trigger point: injections in February, he said "no"... I had no relief for pain... then in April he asked if I wanted these injections??? Then I decided to seek another doctor, asked for my files, the NEXT day he sent a certified letter telling me he was canceling me?? Really? Frustrated ?
