Love the store they take the time to measure and make sure that you have the correct shoes. For years I was wearing the wrong width of shoe for some reason I thought my feet wider than they really are. Thanks to the Professionals at Rieckens’s I don’t even have to break new shoes in they are comfortable on the first wearing. And they have a huge selection to pick from. Highly recommend you check this place out it’s awesome

Had been shopping here for many years, Wendel has been our go to person. My wife has been wearing Finn Comfort shoes from here for 10 years at several hundred dollars per pair. This year she got a pair in a color she wanted to dye another color. We took the shoes in in December, chose the color from a rack by the cash register, we're told they would be ready when we returned in January. When we returned, we were told repairs must be prepaid. We paid, and came back two weeks later. The shoes looked like "jellies". The dye was a paint. After a discussion with a clerk, not Wendel, we were told someone would "deal with us." The owner wasn't available, but I was given his phone number. When I called, he was out so I left a message. The next day, I called again and spoke to him. When I mentioned that I had left a message, he said he thought I was a salesman.
Finally when we talked to the owner and the repair manual, it was agreed that the paint would be stripped and I would pick up the shoes in a month. This morning I called at the store, only to find that the repairs had not begun, it hadn't been a month, but he can have them done this afternoon!
This store "used" to be one of the best places to get really good service with care and a smile. Well, I don't know what happened, but there is a particular person working there that treated me and a member of my family as if we were white trash. I "had" to choose the shoes which she brought out for me to try. She was rude to my family member and treated me as if I didn't have a choice as to what "I" liked in the selection of shoes I was looking to purchase. I think the owner needs to have a talk with her and let her know how to treat a customer kindly and that it's not her buying the shoes or wearing the shoes, it's the purchaser. I will never go back to that store ever again. Rieken's, you can thank her for losing a customer. Thank her for me for treating a fine customer who went into the store to purchase a pair of shoes and came out with no shoes, but did come out with a feeling of being treated as being stupid and unable to choose shoes that I really would have liked to tried on just to see if they worked for me or not.....If they didn't, then so what? I would try on some more until I found the ones that fit correctly and that I actually liked.
We will not be driving 200 miles to spend our money here anymore.
Great customer service! My kids got to experience being sized and fitted for new shoes the old school cool way. I will be going back.
Liked the store in past trips, older gentlemen was needlessly rude to me when visiting today. I like to support small / local businesses but will not be shopping here again.
