The bread that came with the meal was slighty overdone, but it still had a good flavor. Other than that, the side items were all great, and I really enjoyed the house dressing on my salad.
Smitty's is the best steak joint in town. I've not had anything that wasn't good. The ribeye is to die for. Also the chicken florentine soup is the best I've ever had.
This was my first visit to Smitty's. The interior features the original tin plate ceiling, columns, woodwork, and period lighting. Nice ambience but a little dark, and pretty loud. My sirloin was slightly over cooked (ordered medium and it was cooked to where there was no pink whatsoever) but very tasty. The salad was fresh and the house special dressing was quite good. The fettuccine alfredo that I got as my side dish had broccoli and some carrots mixed in and was just OK. Service was mediocre in terms of speed and attentiveness, but friendly. I felt that the menu items were priced fairly, and the overall experience was good, but not exceptional in any way.
Outdoor patio dining was very nice, and the service was really good. Recommended!
Tonight was our first visit to this well established restaurant. We we're extremely pleased with our service. Very polite and punctual server. We chose one of the Chef's Specialty, Sirlion Steak for 2. We highly recommend adding the Bleu Cheese and Mushroom sauce. No steak sauce was needed. Our entire meal was awesome!
Delicious food. Can be a little pricy but the food is very good. My favorite local Italian eatery.
Ordered the New York Strip medium-rare, and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
