Can’t comment on the quality of the food or the beverages because we never made it that far. The hostess immediately seated us and after 15 minutes of no service at the table, we got up to leave. Upon leaving, multiple waiters/ waitresses made comments about noticing us sitting there for a long time, but none took the initiative to ask if we needed anything or if anybody had been with us. Strongly suggest retraining of staff!
The beef brisket was great. Really great. I later tried the St. Louis style ribs. The taste was there, but there were too many dry parts that I could not eat. Like they were around too long. I might try them again, but for the money, go with the brisket. You'll be better off.
Very small bbq chicken pieces, greasy potato soup, sparse green salad but friendly service.
Of the many BBQ places in town Shyler's is the best. I've tried many items on the menu. All have been wonderful. Ranging from BBQ pork to BBQ chicken to fried chicken to steak. The service is always top notch. The desserts are out of this world good. The prices are very reasonable. I would recommend Shyler's to anyone looking for good BBQ and other home cooked style food.
Two stars. Service was bad. Plates were wrong. Food was subpar. The old shyler's is just gone. There is better BBQ out there. They did not even bring out our appetizer and when they offered to make things right with discount, they forgot. BBQ chicken was small and tasted like only dipped in sauce, not cooked with it. Very disappointed in what this once great place has gotten to.
