Evansville is particularly hostile to the Disabled. They have to have their wheel chairs in the streets, because the sidewalks are a joke. At night it is very difficult to see them, because street lighting is also a joke.
I am not happy with Evansville traffic control. In other cities the traffic lights are timed, so that if people drive at a moderate speed, in keeping with that posted speed limits, we can sail through all traffic lights on a long street going same way. Not so Evansville traffic lights seem designed to make us stop at every one, irrespective of speed we driving. Sometimes low lying areas are flooded in heavy rains. We don't discover a place is blocked, until we are on top of the obstruction, then turning around is a nightmare. Sidewalks and cross-walks are damn near non-existent, so we have to drive or ride the bus, but many corners are mud holes. Walking along side of road, in grass, every few steps is a pot hole our ankle deep into mud or worse, hidden by the grass. There's a law saying it is trespassing if we are parked at a retail establishment, when not doing business there, so if we want to shop at adjacent stores, we have to move our vehicle, or ask permission of the store to leave our car there while we shop at neighbor establishments.
