I'm giving it two stars, only because the room itself was large and we had no problems with appliances breaking, or insects etc.

This place is terrible. They take advantage of college kids and their family. Charged us 1k in damages we didnt do. Waited a year snd continued to sue us plus 1/3 for attorney fee. DO NOT RENT

What we did have major problems with was the management. Andrea is who I dealt with. When we moved in we noticed how filthy dirty the water heater area was but thought nothing of it. Turns out we should have. It was some kind of mold growing on the water heater and getting into the A/C unit that spewed it into the air. It coated our walls, including our own personal posters and wall decs. By the time we realized what it was doing we were getting ready to move out. We tried to clean it ourselves using household cleaning supplies, but it didn't help. When we got our damages bill they had charged us $800 in repairs because they had to repaint the apartment. When we went to challenge it, Andrea rudely spoke down to us, and accused us of burning incense in the apartment (as two non-religious people it makes no sense to us either). Additionally she refused to reimburse us for the cleaning supplies that didn't work. We would have gone to court if the court fees weren't so conveniently around the same price as the bill for the damages. They'll milk you for everything you're worth. If you're looking for an off campus apartment, consider Arbors at Red Bank as an alternative. At least the management there will treat you like a person.

I had a little over a year of a lease with Golden Tower Apartments. For the quality of the apartments and complex, it is overpriced. Although altogether it really isn't too expensive of a monthly rent, the electricity bills make them much higher. The electricity bills are so high because of how old the complex is I am assuming. Nonetheless, at the end of our lease, our apartment was completely clean and they charged us $100 in cleaning fees and over $400 for painting the walls. Why the walls needed to be painted again is beyond my knowledge, and why it cost so much is even further than my knowledge. The only thing I can think of that would have needed extra cleaning is the oven, which wouldn't cost $100 to do. On top of all of this, we paid over a $300 deposit before we first moved in, but only get $99 back altogether because of a "holding fee" we apparently had at the beginning of our lease. First of all, we weren't told about a holding fee. Secondly, they didn't hold an apartment for us. We moved in as soon as possible - it was even in the middle of a month. I was warned by handfuls of friends and peers to not stay in Golden Tower Apartments, and I really regret not taking their word for it. It is also known for mold - it was even on the ceiling of our bathroom when we moved in.

I lived at Golden Towers Apartments for three years while attending school at USI as it was conveniently located. When touring/signing the lease to the apartment, Andrea (Property manager) was very friendly and inviting. While living at Golden Towers Apartments, I had little/to no issues with the staff or living conditions/environment. However, when completing my move-out inspection, Andrea became very rude and treated me as though I was beneath her. In the end, after leaving the apartment in very clean/spotless condition, we were charged hundreds of dollars to re-paint and clean the carpets. (Little did we know that this was hidden in the lease…so read carefully before signing). What makes the apartment so intriguing in the beginning: the $99 dollar security deposit, spacious apartments, pet-friendly, location to town/campus, and what seems to be “friendly” staff, will end up costing you another month’s rent in the end. I am writing this review in hopes to keep another student from being taken advantage of by this unethical company.

My roommates and I lived here for 3 years. Bedrooms were spacious enough for us. However, there was hardly any storage space. The closets for me, were very small. We would also run into problems with not having enough space in the kitchen. Fast forward to a year in, we had some trouble with our neighbor. I was actually terrified of him.(police were called multiple times) they offered no security. "They have patrol cars that come and act as security." Except they're only there on the weekend. Also, their wifi NEVER worked. You will have to buy your own wifi. Their washers hardly work. It'll say 10 minutes until finished, but they wouldn't be done until an hour after. So depending on how much laundry, you could spend your day doing laundry. Then, our air conditioning went out in the middle of July. It took them over a month to fix it. It was incredibly hot. I would call just to get an update, and the ladies in the office would be incredibly rude. Overall, this place is horrible. When we moved in our carpet had stains, and initial carvings in the trim. Realizing now that the apartments are incredibly over priced. There are multiple apartments that are closer to USI that offer more.
